| The Hale & Hearty Singers Folk Club meets for a Singaround on the 1st & 3rd Friday of every month at the Cross Keys, which is at the crossroads in Milnthorpe. We welcome singers, musicians and listeners to our clubroom which is away from the bar. We have a 10-strong resident line-up of accomplished singers who take it in turns to host the evening.We start at 8-30 prompt.The pub serves good beer and has an excellent restaurant. Please note that we do not book paid guests. |

| The Old Mill Acoustic Sessions begins on Sunday 4 May 2008, and continues on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month. It is a PA-free session, with regular contributions from Bury-based Irish singer and whistle player Liam Beag and many others. All are welcome, players, singers and listeners. The Old Mill Hotel is a lovely setting, and we have a quiet private function room for the sessions. Free admission, but please buy a drink or two to cover the staff costs for the private bar! |

| The Alison Arms Folk Club meets for a singaround every Wednesday. Just 2 miles from the M6 jct 27 the Alison Arms provides a function room upstairs and free pies as well as serving a wide range of drinks including a couple of cask ales. Everyone is welcome singers, musicians, poets or audience to performance in a relaxing atmosphere. Even if your just starting out with an instrument your welcome, there is bound to be someone else ot the same standard and several whose performance will inspire you. All acoustic performances welcome - folk, blues, country, unplugged rock. |
