A brilliantly thorough CD Rom Tutorial for Whistle. This features the multi-instrumentalist Brian Finnegan well known for his exciting approach to the art of whistle playing and also for his performance work with Flook. Brian is also a much sought-after tutor and workshop leader both in Ireland and England.

This instructional CD Rom combines Video, Text, Photographs and musical notation to make learning as easy as possible for the student. All levels are catered for, from the absolute beginner to the advanced player.

17 tunes are included in the beginner’s section. It features the basic skills of whistle playing using easy, slow paced airs and polkas. Jigs and Reels are then introduced and ornaments are added gradually. The individual parts of these tunes are demonstrated on video at a slow pace and the full tune is subsequently demonstrated at a medium place so you can play along.

The advanced section features Jigs and Reels that are more highly ornamented and melodically complex. Other types of tune types – Polkas, Slides & Hornpipes are also explained. Brian demonstrates more ornamentation and techniques that he features in his own playing. 18 tunes included (in the advanced section).
